How to create a backup copy of the database ?

It is recommended to create a backup copy of the database and the files connected to the database to prevent any data loss. At first launch of the system configuration tool, the user is invited to choose a location for a backup of the database. The location of the backup can be any repository in the hard drive or in a removable drive or in a network system.

The color of the tool button “Set backup configuration” is colored in red, telling that the user should choose a backup location for its DICOM files.

Because the backup location has not been set yet, the tool button “Start a backup copy of the database” is inactive (see below).

When the user wants to make a backup copy of the database, it will automatically be done at the previously chosen location when the tool button “Start a backup copy of the database” is pressed.

The user can change the location of the backup by pressing the tool button “Set backup configuration”. The location of the backup will be changed according to the new database location.
